 When it was decided by Granville to build a second story on Trimper’s Haunted House using Ghost Ship's contents, it required the original Haunted House structure to be mostly demolished. During this time period, all of the original stunts and scenery were removed from the attraction and stored. This photo shows a worker operating a bulldozer in November of 1988 to level the majority of the original 1964 Haunted House and its wooden structure to make way for a new and improved Haunted House. During the demolition and construction process, some of the original ride was retained and left untouched including the second room, rotating barrel, and the Upside Down Room.
